001 Chell - Video and Action

[Chell arrived in Luceti a few days ago and has since read the guides for the land. However, she has had no desire to use the journal.

Today, though, she decides to at least check it out and see how it works. Upon fiddling around with buttons here and there, she does somehow turn on the video feed.

Anyone watching will see Chell's unamused face briefly, for maybe a half minute, until she turns the feed off. She has nothing to say.]

[However, you can find Chell wandering around town. Who cares if it's raining outside. She likes it. It's been ages since she's been in the rain, so she is going to savor it.

Her Companion Cube, which she found in a nearby store, is with her. You might find her sitting on a hill, soaking in the rain. Or you'll find her out and about, walking around with the Cube.]

[Sonic occasionally enjoys a run in the rain too... so Chell might see a blue blur in the distance in front of her, running along the hills nearby until eventually heading her way.

But upon drawing close, Sonic halts, coming to a stop near her. He regards her with a smile, and a thumbs up.]

Hey! Don't think I've seen you around here before. You just arrive?

[Goroh isn't such a big fan of the rain. But he's outside, between two destinations, when he spots the girl on a cube. Even with the rain coming down, he decides to comment.]

That's a fine way to get sick.

Of all the people to come and go from this place, you were just about the last one she wanted to see.

Just you wait, Chell. GLaDOS is doubling her efforts to break the safeties off the Battle Dome now. After all, she owes you some neurotoxin, and this is one debt she fully plans on repaying. ]

[Simba can also appreciate rain! He's walking around outside, even though it's pretty cold - he's starting to get used to it, a little. He spots her sitting next to a strangely shaped object, and as usual, offers his friendly Disney hello.]

Hey! Looks like it's just you and me actually enjoying the rain, huh?

[Sup. Have a school girl.

As it turns out, Yuriko is also seeking refuge from the village on a hill in the rain. As she climbs up the hill, she spots Chell and her cube. Not expecting to see anyone else out today, Yuriko just stops and stares at Chell.

She might notice that strangely, Yuriko is completely dry despite the weather.]
